Annual Maintenance
Placer County Water Agency conducts routine annual maintenance in the Middle Fork American River area during October and November. This helps maintain the hydroelectric generation units as part of the Middle Fork Project.

Fall Outage Dates 2022
10/1/2022 - 10/31/2022
The Middle Fork, Ralston, and Oxbow Powerhouses are scheduled to be offline for the 2022 annual fall maintenance starting 10/1/2022 through 10/31/2022 - back online 11/1/2022. This is a CAISO approved planned outage.
Maintenance is an integral part of preserving the long-term reliability of critical energy resources throughout California's electrical grid during peak demand periods. The Middle Fork Project is the eighth largest public power project in California.
