Water Year Type
PCWA’s Federal Energy Regulatory Commission license contains requirements that set minimum stream flows based on the water year type. This is an important component of protecting and preserving the public trust resources within the Middle Fork American River watershed.
A water year is from October 1 to September 30 each year. The stream flows vary based on location, resources and hydrology. The current water year has been designated as wet as of May 24, 2023.
